Malaysia to extend virus curbs by two weeks to May 12

Movement control order can still be extended further; government studies methods to revive economy in stages

    MALAYSIAN Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on Thursday announced that the movement control order (MCO) will be extended by another two weeks.

    This is the third time that the government has decided to extend the MCO, and the announcement comes a day before the start of Ramadan, the fasting month for Muslims.
