MALAYSIA posted a stronger-than-anticipated trade performance in May, with exports growing 32.5 per cent to RM79.4 billion (S$25.5 billion) fuelled by robust external demand for its manufactured and agriculture products.

Total trade in May amounted to RM153.3 billion, marking a 31.5 per cent growth against the same period last year of RM116.6 billion, owing to the expansion of trade with all its major trading partners particularly Asean, China, the US, European Union, Australia, Taiwan and India.
