[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia’s inflation rate moderated to 1.8 per cent year on year (yoy) in November, as prices of apparels and communication services grew at a slower pace, a Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) report indicated on Friday (Dec 20).

The final figure was lower than October’s 1.9 per cent and the 2.1 per cent forecast by economists in a recent Reuters poll.

Core inflation, meanwhile, remained steady for the third consecutive month at 1.8 per cent yoy in November.
