[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia's current account surplus narrowed to RM6.1 billion (S$2.31 billion) in the fourth quarter from RM7.6 billion in the previous quarter, central bank data showed on Thursday.
Net direct investment in the fourth quarter posted an outflow of RM0.2 billion, after an inflow of RM2.1 billion in the previous quarter.
The net portfolio investment outflow totalled RM20.4 billion, after an outflow of RM11 billion in the third quarter.
