MANDAI will become an integrated nature and wildlife destination with a new bird park and rainforest park by end 2020.
In addition to the new parks - which complement the Singapore Zoo, River Safari and Night Safari - there will be an indoor education centre, public spaces as well as eco-sensitive accommodation. These will open in phases between 2020 and 2023. The old Jurong Bird Park will eventually be closed.
"We are very excited by the concepts beginning to take shape in Mandai," said S Dhanabalan, chairman of Mandai Safari Park Holdings. "We are committed to conserving and nurturing Singapore's natural heritage so it can be enjoyed for generations to come."
