Manufacturing sector grows by 3.5% in H1 2020

BIOMEDICAL manufacturing and precision engineering clusters helped grow the manufacturing sector in the first half of this year, contributing 5.0 percentage points and 1.5 percentage points respectively.
The sector grew by 3.5 per cent year-on-year in H1 2020, with most of the growth clocked in Q1. The sector contracted by 0.7 per cent in Q2, reversing the 7.9 per cent growth in Q1.
