MANUFACTURING in the United States cooled last month, settling into a more sustainable pace of growth as the year drew to a close.
The Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) factory index dropped to a six-month low of 55.5 in December from 58.7 in November, a report from the Tempe, Arizona-based group showed on Friday.
