THE euro, Spanish and European stock markets hardly moved on Monday, in the hope that Catalonia will step back from the brink.
They drew hope from a massive Barcelona protest on Sunday with estimated crowds of more than 350,000 in favour of unity with Spain. Similar rallies were held across Spain on Saturday.
