MAS to explore better ways to use data

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is looking at ways to improve the use and dissemination of its data, in hopes of making it available through the use of application programming interfaces (APIs).
Without specifying a timeline for the API rollout, a senior executive on Wednesday said MAS will have to work with the financial institutions to determine their data strategies, especially now more data is being sought after by the regulators.
