MALAYSIA'S tourism sector received a considerable shot in the arm from stimulus measures unveiled on Monday, including an additional RM80 million (S$26 million) to run activities to promote Malaysia as a holiday destination.
Industry players described the move as timely, given the government's budget cuts and a slowdown in tourist arrivals despite the devalued ringgit.
