[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has asked Vietnamese Prime Minster Nguyen Xuan Phuc to extradite the eight alleged hijackers of Malaysian-flagged tanker Orkim Harmony, the New Straits Times reported.
Datuk Seri Najib made the request on sidelines of Asean-Russia Commemorative Summit in Sochi, Russia on Friday (May 20), according to the report.
Mr Najib said he wants the suspects to be extradited and brought to justice in Malaysia, the newspaper reported. The Vietnamese Prime Minister indicated that the request would be looked into, the report cited Mr Najib as saying.
