New Bill empowers Singaporean volunteers to deal with litter bugs

Community volunteers will be given the enforcement power of NEA officers to make them more effective

    PARLIAMENT on Tuesday passed the National Environment Agency (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill, paving the way for more volunteers to help in making Singapore litter-free.

    These community volunteers will be given the enforcement power NEA officers have in dealing with environmental offences.
