New EP framework provides clarity - now firms have to act on this knowledge
It addresses concerns of local workers who fear unfair competition, firms who face uncertainty over access to talent

BY SHOWING explicitly and transparently how Employment Pass (EP) applications might succeed or fail, the new points-based system addresses concerns of both local workers who fear unfair competition, and firms who face uncertainty over access to talent. What matters next is what they will do with this knowledge.
Firms have often bemoaned the lack of clarity as to whether and why new EP applications or renewal attempts may fail. With the new Complementarity Assessment Framework, or Compass, they will now be able to know exactly where they fall short.
