New Punggol Coast station on NEL to be completed earlier by 2023

THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Wednesday that the 1.6km long North East Line Extension (NELe) is expected to open by 2023, ahead of the original 2030 schedule.
The earlier completion date is to support developments in Punggol North, the LTA said.
LTA will be calling tenders for the construction of NELe this month, and construction is expected to commence in the first half of 2018.
