New service-delivery benchmarks unveiled for 4G services
Mobile network operators have to hit set levels of coverage for these services - or be dealt penalties
Singapore
MOBILE Network Operators (MNOs) will need to provide at least 95 per cent outdoor coverage for 4G connectivity from July 1 - or be fined.
The bar will be raised over time. Under a new Quality of Service (QoS) framework unveiled on Wednesday by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), MNOs will have to raise this coverage to at least 99 per cent from July 1, 2017.
