[WELLINGTON] New Zealand business sentiment improved in April from the previous month following news of travel with neighbouring Australia resuming after over a year of closure, an ANZ Bank survey showed on Thursday.
The survey's headline measure showed a net 2 per cent of respondents expected the economy to deteriorate over the year ahead compared with a 4.1 per cent pessimism level in the poll in March.
A net 22.2 per cent of respondents expected their own businesses to grow in the next 12 months, from 16.6 per cent last month.
