    SINGAPORE has overcome many hurdles in the last 50 years of its tourism journey and the country can expect to face new challenges in the next half-century, says Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

    In addition to dealing with a labour shortage, Singapore also faces competition from many other cities and destinations that are all offering more customised experiences and building more iconic attractions such as theme parks.
