NGEE Ann Polytechnic (NP) has implemented various job support initiatives to help its class of 2020 graduates kickstart their careers amid the Covid-19 crisis.
Over 4,500 students will graduate in May, the polytechnic announced on Monday.
NP has rolled out a graduation support package called Career Jumpstart which includes employment and learning opportunities.
It is also leveraging campus job placements, potential work-study programme placements and free learning opportunities to help graduates.
For example, it is gifting this year's graduating cohort with two complimentary continuing education and training programmes.
The polytechnic has curated close to 80 campus job placements for its graduating cohort. This ranges from Web content development and digital marketing communications positions, to research assistant and administrative support roles which will help graduates acquire relevant skill sets to boost their employability.

In addition, NP has compiled a potential list of over 150 work-study programme placements for its graduates. Work-study programmes allow graduates to deepen their professional skills and knowledge while working.
Graduates can also tap NP's education and career guidance counselling to help them transition to the working world.
Separately, the polytechnic announced on Monday that it has launched GoSchool - a Go Programming Language academy which offers placement opportunities on top of its curriculum.
GoSchool has obtained about 150 job placement opportunities to-date with hiring partners Shopee, foodpanda and Zalora.
GoSchool is jointly owned by NP, OpenNodes - a Web-based engagement platform to connect government agencies, corporates and blockchain firms - and coding assessment platform Indorse.
