    THERE are just five months to go until Barack Obama steps down from office, but the US President remains adamant he can force the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) through Congress before either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump - both fierce opponents to the mega free-trade pact - get the keys to the White House.

    At a joint press conference with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday, the US leader declared: "Right now, I'm the President and I'm for it. I think I've got the better argument.
