Singapore companies active in Oman
SEVERAL Singapore companies have already become first movers into the Oman market. These include leading eGovernment solutions and services provider CrimsonLogic and specialist steel maker BH Global Marine. Rotary Engineering and various units of the ST Engineering group have also won contracts in the country, and traders Oman Trading International has a presence in both Oman and Singapore.
Among CrimsonLogic's highpoints was winning a major project last year and the subsequent setting up of an office in Oman earlier this year.
The official opening of a new office at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat follows the company's agreement to plan, develop and launch Oman's first National Single Electronic Window (SEW) for the Royal Oman Police, Directorate General of Customs, in addition to rolling out an enhanced Integrated Customs Management System (ICMS) to replace the existing one.
