PAP's Murali to be sworn in on Monday
SDP chief Chee Soon Juan thanks voters and says party will remain active in ward

FRESH from the high of helping the People's Action Party (PAP) retain the Bukit Batok seat at last Saturday's by-election, Murali Pillai will be sworn in as Singapore's 89th elected Member of Parliament (MP) when the House sits again on Monday.
The 48-year-old lawyer, armed with a 61.2 per cent mandate from voters, will also hold his first meet-the-people session in the single member constituency (SMC) later in the evening.
