THE Philippines is ready to roll out the red carpet to welcome Asia-Pacific's leaders to its capital Manila, as the South-east Asian nation hosts its most high-profile event in nearly 20 years.
As the chair of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit this year, the Philippines has already held scores of meetings this year in the run-up to the grand finale, the two-day Economic Leaders' Meeting starting on Wednesday.
