Pipe jacking increasingly tapped to install segments of PUB's underground network

TO MEET the challenge of expanding water infrastructure within a highly urban setting, Singapore's national water agency PUB has taken to pipe jacking - a trenchless way of laying pipes - to install underground pipes.
The Murnane Pipeline Project (MPP), a 22km network extending from Murnane Service Reservoir to the city area, was revealed on Wednesday alongside a separate 7km Punggol pipeline project stretching from Punggol Way to Elias Road.
