PM Lee lauds FairPrice's role in nation-building
He opens S$350m FairPrice Hub which has a distribution centre, HQ, training centre and members-only supermart

NTUC FairPrice has played an important role in nation-building ever since it opened the first of its supermarkets in Toa Payoh back in 1973, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Wednesday.
Speaking at the official opening of the S$350-million FairPrice Hub in Joo Koon, he paid tribute to the cooperative's achievements in fulfilling its many objectives over the years.
