PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh had a spirited debate in Parliament on Tuesday following Mr Lee's rhetorical question of how much longer can Singaporeans vote for the opposition while expecting the votes of others to ensure that the People's Action Party (PAP) is returned to power.
Mr Lee said: "Can we continue to get good people into politics, to maintain the quality of the ministers and MPs, and make things happen for Singapore, if more and more citizens prefer the PAP to form the government, yet vote for another party's candidates to be their MPs (Members of Parliament) for diversity?
