POLYTECHNIC graduates who took part in the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme (ELP) earned a higher starting wage than their peers who did not, according to a study by economists in the latest Economic Survey of Singapore on Tuesday.
The study compares three groups of fresh polytechnic graduates: those who enrolled in the ELP leading to an advanced or specialist diploma - now known as SkillsFuture work-study post-diplomas - versus those who went directly into employment, and those who pursued a degree at a private education institution.
