BORN in humble circumstances in 1924, former president SR Nathan would become a great influencer in Singapore's nation-building efforts and continue to work hard even after retiring from office, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Friday.
And it was with this tireless dedication that Mr Nathan hoped he could inspire Singaporeans to never give up in whatever they were doing, the PM added.
