S Korea expects fastest growth in 3 years in 2017

SOUTH Korea said on Tuesday its economy is set to grow at its fastest rate in three years in 2017, on the back of strong exports and a US$10 billion stimulus package aimed at creating jobs and bolstering welfare.
South Korea has enjoyed a decades-long boom, but expansion has slowed more recently and economic and social frustrations were among the drivers of left-leaning President Moon Jae-in's election in May.
