Salary for Singapore workers to rise 2.6% in 2019: ECA International

Higher inflation of 1.4% will reduce real pay hikes in 2019 to below those in 2018


PAY in Singapore will rise by an average 4 per cent in 2019 but higher inflation will trim the real increase to 2.6 per cent, predicts ECA International.

"Singapore employees can expect to see a real salary increase of 2.6 per cent in 2019, down from the 2.9 per cent increase that they received this year," says ECA's regional director for Asia, Lee Quane. "This is primarily due to the expected increase in inflation, from 1 per cent in 2018 to 1.4 per cent next year."
