FROM cooking to dishwashing - and from self-service to self-checkout - every operational aspect of the F&B and retail sector may require a shake-up to raise productivity, according to Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
It "needs to be relooked at quite fundamentally because we're going to run out of manpower quite soon," he told reporters after visiting Singapore's first onsite centralised dishwashing facility on Monday.
