THE various moves by the government to put cash back in the hands of individuals and households is a much-needed "steroid jab" to raise consumer confidence, said market watchers.
In addition to freezing all government fees and charges for a period of one year, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat unveiled an enhanced Care and Support Package on Thursday which will cost around S$4.6 billion in total.
