ALL adult Singaporeans will receive a one-off Solidarity Payment of S$600 in cash, said Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat on Monday, even as he urged those who do not need the cash to donate it to charities or directly share it with others.
This payout is not only the largest amount given to-date, it is also unprecedented as such payouts are typically pegged to income level and type of property stayed, said Sabrina Sia, tax partner and leader of global employer services at Deloitte Singapore.
