Transforming enterprises will build a sustainable revenue base
Helping firms to re-orientate their business models and operations will have the most effect in efforts to ready Singapore's economy for various local and global shifts
TRANSFORMATION was a keyword in Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat's Budget 2020 speech on Tuesday, a vital feature of his "strategic financial plan" for Singapore's future.
As part of a comprehensive Budget, the immediate- and medium-term measures announced will go a long way towards addressing the impact of the current Covid-19 outbreak, to stabilise the economy, assist enterprises with cash flow, and preserve jobs.
But the most commendable aspect of the Budget is its focus on continuing to catalyse enterprise transformation for the long term, for Singapore as a global-Asia node for technology, innovation and enterprise.
