Singapore government invites feedback on GST amendment bill
THE Singapore Ministry of Finance will be conducting a public consultation on the draft Goods and Services Tax (GST) (Amendment) Bill 2015 from Monday till July 31, 2015, it said in a press release.
Proposed amendments are to allow a travel restriction order to be imposed on people who wrongly claimed a tourist refund and failed to repay it, and other changes relating to zero-rating (charging 0 per cent GST) on goods supplied.
The public can access the consultation documents and explanations on the Ministry of Finance's website and the Reach consultation portal.
Respondents may send their comments to the Ministry of Finance directly via the website, email, fax, or post, the release said.
