BUSINESS receipts for the services industry in Singapore rose 3.5 per cent year on year in the second quarter of 2015, with all but the recreation & personal services segment experiencing turnover growth, data released by the Department of Statistics (DOS) on Thursday showed.
Quarter on quarter, business receipts edged up 1.4 per cent, and showed a mixed performance.
In year-on-year terms, the financial & insurance segment enjoyed the highest growth of 9.5 per cent, followed by the health & social services segment at 8.9 per cent growth. The recreation & personal services segment plunged 18.3 per cent in turnover.
The DOS data excluded wholesale & retail trade, and accommodation & food services.
