SMRT to probe deaths of 2 employees killed in track accident


SMRT will launch a probe into how two of its maintenance employees were killed - apparently hit by an oncoming train - along the track near Pasir Ris MRT station on Tuesday.

The incident in the morning led to the suspension of train services between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris stations on the East-West Line for more than two hours.

The victims were Nasrulhudin Najumudin, 26, and Muhammad Asyraf Ahmad Buhari, 24.
