[SEOUL] South Korean job market rebounded in September with the unemployment rate falling to a seasonally 4.0 per cent from 4.2 per cent in August, official data showed on Friday.

September saw 45,000 new jobs created, far above the 3,000 recorded in August. The number of unemployed people rose by 92,000 versus 134,000 in August.

August was the South Korean labour market's weakest month since nearly nine years ago, when the economy was still reeling from the global financial crisis.
