South Korea Oct exports match initial estimates, imports contraction smaller

[SEOUL] South Korean exports fell 3.2 per cent on year in October, unchanged from previous estimates and improving from a 5.9 per cent decline a month earlier, revised data showed on Tuesday.
October imports fell a revised 4.8 per cent compared to a year ago, the Korea Customs Service data showed, smaller than a 5.4 per cent drop previously estimated but still bigger than a 1.7 per cent fall in September.
The resulting trade surplus last month was revised to US$6.97 billion from US$7.2 billion.
