[SEOUL] South Korea's import prices grew at a slower pace for a second month in June as global oil prices fell, central bank data showed on Friday.
Import prices in won terms rose 2.3 per cent year-on-year for June after increasing 4.1 per cent in May, the Bank of Korea said in a statement.
The BOK also noted that smaller rises in sub-indices like petroleum products and raw materials largely caused the slower pace of growth for June.
Export price growth also slowed slightly in won terms, up 4.9 per cent in June from a year earlier, after a 5.1 per cent rise in May.
