South Korea's March s/adj current account surplus inches down to 3-month low

    [SEOUL] South Korea's current account surplus in March inched down to a seasonally adjusted US$10.07 billion from a revised US$10.95 billion in February to stand at its lowest level since last December, central bank data showed on Monday.

    Exports surged 8.2 per cent to US$43.66 billion in March in seasonally adjusted terms, while imports rose a slower 4.8 per cent over the same period to US$31.49 billion, also adjusted for seasonal factors.

    That resulted in a seasonally adjusted goods account of US$12.17 billion for March. The non-adjusted current account surplus in March stood at US$10.09 billion.
