THE nearly 2.6 million citizens eligible to vote at the next general election in Singapore will, for the first time, use a "self-inking" pen that automatically stamps a cross on their ballot papers.
These pens make use of Japanese technology and have been used at elections in countries such as South Korea, the Elections Department (ELD) said as it gave local reporters a sneak peek into some of the new features of the upcoming polls.
