S'pore queries indicators in 2016 Global Innovation Index

SINGAPORE has questioned the handling of certain indicators in the 2016 Global Innovation Index (GII), which appear to present a lopsided picture of its level of innovation.
While it has been ranked No 1 globally in "innovation inputs" (which include factors such as infrastructure and institutions), it has been deemed lacking in "innovation outputs" (such as knowledge and creative outputs), ranking No 20 there.
