Separately, President Park also calls for further liberalisation of the Korea-Asean FTA
Busan, South Korea
SOUTH Korea and Singapore need to take an "aggressive look" in the review of the Korea-Singapore free trade agreement (FTA), said visiting Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Busan on Thursday. In doing so, he hopes the agreement - the first free trade deal that Korea signed with an Asian country - can make a "quantum leap" and be consistent with the FTAs that both countries have with other partners.
Mr Lee made these points during a bilateral meeting with Korean President Park Geun-hye on the sidelines of a summit being held to mark 25 years of diplomatic relations between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) and South Korea.
