S'pore watching Malaysian political developments 'very carefully': PM Lee

Developments there can affect Republic given the two countries' close ties

    PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said that Singapore is watching political developments in Malaysia very carefully.

    Referring to the political crisis linked to the debt-laden 1MDB now gripping Malaysia, he said Malaysia is Singapore's closest neighbour in terms of geography as well as trading ties and investments, and that Singaporeans live and work in Malaysia, and vice-versa.
