STB to allow SingapoRediscovers Voucher refunds for cancelled staycation bookings

WHILE approved attractions, hotels and tours will remain open from May 16 to June 13, customers who used SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRVs) to make bookings may be able to get refunds or reschedule their bookings, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said on Sunday.

STB has implemented a process to allow SRVs to be returned to users' digital SRV accounts if customers choose to cancel hotel staycations booked with the vouchers for the period of tightened restrictions. The cancellation and refund requests will be subject to the terms and conditions of their bookings, and the authorised booking partners will reach out to provide assistance to customers.

Alternatively, customers can reschedule their stays for a later date.

The validity of tickets for attraction visits and tours scheduled within the month of tightened restrictions will be extended. Customers can also opt to change their date of visit, STB said.

In April, STB announced that the SRV scheme would be extended by six months to the end of the year. It was originally due to expire at the end of June.
