Stocks likely to shadow US-China diplomatic moves
While the major indexes are treading water, market currents are changing below the surface
US STOCKS finished on the cusp of record highs last Friday amid hopes that the diplomatic dance between China and the United States would soon yield a trade deal.
This dance, however, is likely to continue for some time and this week stocks are likely to shadow their movements step by step.
Strategists say that even the relatively modest "phase one" trade deal is unlikely to close by the end of this year.
