Suu Kyi gets a taste of local hawker fare

THERE was a buzz at Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre early on Friday morning when Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi made a visit there to have breakfast.
The 71-year-old drew a large crowd when she arrived shortly before 8am, with scores of residents whipping out their smartphones to snap a picture of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
