Thai Cabinet approves US$117 billion budget plan for 2027 fiscal year
[BANGKOK] Thailand’s Cabinet on Tuesday (Nov 25) approved a US$116.7 billion budget plan for the 2027 fiscal year, government spokesperson Siripong Angkasakulkiata said.
The budget plan unveiled last week will see a budget deficit of 788 billion baht (S$31.7 billion), or 3.9 per cent of gross domestic product.
The plan projects a 0.2 per cent rise in spending and an 8.37 per cent drop in the deficit for the 2027 fiscal year starting on Oct 1, 2026. REUTERS
