[BANGKOK] Thailand's military government approved on Tuesday economic measures aiming at boosting spending power in rural areas, as the junta is struggling to lift economic growth, industry minister Atchaka Sibunruang told reporters.

The government has said the measures to help low-income earners will include soft loans via village funds and speedy disbursement for smaller projects.
