[BANGKOK] Thailand's planning agency on Monday maintained its economic growth forecast for 2015 at 3.5 to 4.5 per cent but trimmed its export estimate for the year.
In 2014, growth was 0.7 per cent, the weakest since flood-hit 2011. The economy expanded 2.9 per cent in 2013.
However, the National Economic and Social Development Board, which compiles gross domestic product (GDP) data, reduced its 2015 export growth projection slightly to 3.5 per cent from 4.0 per cent seen in November.
The central bank has forecast economic growth of 4 per cent for this year, the same as economists in a Reuters poll.
